Day 34
Today's Challenge
One of the things we see in the early church is their willingness to share their story, including their brokenness. Why were they willing to be so raw, open, and honest with each other? Why did they willingly confess their sins to one another? They had nothing to lose. Would you be willing to try it? Even for just a day? Find someone you can trust and pour your heart out. David had Jonathan. Hezekiah had Isaiah. You need someone too. Be careful to choose the right person, but don’t hold back.
Today's Bible Reading
Titus & Philemon
Today's Bible Verse
“Create in me a pure heart, O God…” (Psalm 51:10a)
Today's Prayer
Praise God for the hearts that will be changed by this study. Pray for the oppressed.
Today's Devotional
In your notebook, discuss what it means to confess ALL your sins. How do you feel when you confess your sins? Write some of your sins down. Use a separate sheet of paper. Remember that God knows all the secret things. When you are finished trash it, shred it, burn it, and ask God to forgive you. Then forgive yourself. Only then can you receive the peace that surpasses all understanding!
